Hot as an oven!....no kidding!

After exhausting most of the main attractions in Eilat, it's time to head to the border. Just a few kilometers north of the city, after passing the airport going east, the small parking lot next to the border crossing has 1 spot left for us.
From Mark Thielen
Driving across is not an option with a rental car. It's not allowed. We grab all our things. It feels a bit warmer here compared to being next to the Red Sea, which is only 5 minutes south of us.
First window, stamp the passport leaving Israel and pay a small border crossing tax. Next window, exchange our shekals into dinar. This money looks cool. It has a very Arabian look to it. We get enough dinar based on what all our friends told us we would need. Ok, we are set to walk over the border.
The distance from border to border is about 1-2 city blocks with tall barb wire fences on both sides. Good bye Israel. The walk across feels like the heat the blows into your face when you open a hot oven. I think my eyeballs are going to melt. I look at my arms. No sweat at all, because it's evaporating so fast.
